!NEW! 17/11/11 Help Wanted!! The group has been after someone or a couple to take on the role of Fund Raising Officer for some time now. Recently this has taken on more significance when we found out that if we want any work carrying out at NAPT, then we would have to fund this ourselves. Our budget is limited, we have c70 members, from this we have to fund speakers fees, insurance, newsletter production etc... so major landscaping/ engineering is well outside our financial ability. We want someone or a couple to research via the Internet etc.. sources of funding/ grants and to fill in the necessary paperwork. We envisage this would be a couple of hours a week or once a fortnight, just keeping tabs on what funding we might be entitled too-so if we want to develop the scrape at NAPT we desperately need this role filled. It goes without saying you would have the support from the whole organising committee. If you think you might want to take this on, or want more information then lease get in touch with Andy Hirst Email Recorder

24/07/11 I've had an email from Phil Palmer who's the photographic editor of a new atlas of avifauna in Nottinghamshire, which is currently being written. Can you help?

"I don't know if you know but Notts birders & BTO are publishing a new atlas & avifauna for Notts & I have been tasked with getting photos for it.

Some photos of certain species are proving difficult to get, & I know there have been birds in the SK58 area & at Langold that must have been photographed.

Is there any chance you can ask your membership if they have any nice pictures we can use. As long as they were taken in Notts, that's all that matters.

I wondered if you have video grabs of things like the Langold Hen Harrier & Eider that we can use as these are 2 species that we are struggling to get."
If you have any images Phil can use then please email the recorder. Email Recorder
